This isn't the plane I flew in on Sunday, but I wanted to give you an idea of what Barton Airport (now renamed Manchester City Airport) looks like. It a grass runway and this photo shows the typical type of plane that takes off here and the main control tower for the airport. It was very difficult to get planes on their own, as they usually park up very close to each other. I think that the control tower looks really interesting, more like somebody's house than air traffic control for an airport. You can see that despite being misty in the sky, on the ground the weather was nice and sunny.
