Thomas Guthrie Statue Edinburgh

This statue is one of half a dozen interesting statues that stand on the edge of Princes Street and make for a great focal point with the famous Edinburgh Castle directly behind. Thomas Guthrie was a 19th Century philanthropist as well as being one of the leaders of the Free Church of Scotland. Made of Portland stone by the sculptor F. W. Pomeroy. Erected in 1910 the statue faces Castle Street.
