John had told me about a great viewpoint where you could look down on the whole village of Staithes and I must have spent at least an hour or two walking up and down the narrow streets in the warm summer midday sun trying to find what turned out to be a really obviously spot. Whilst doing so I came across the Mariners Cottage.
