The Colosseum was the reason that I spent last week in Rome and the reason I have wanted to visit Italy's capital for many years. I visited this area over 6 times in the week I was there to get a couple of decent photos at different times of day. The above was taken at about half past six in the morning. I had been one evening, but the crowds meant that this photograph would have been impossible. Getting out of bed early was worth it that morning!
