A couple of nights ago I ventured up to my favourite area for photography in Edinburgh, Calton Hill. The above photograph was taken from the bottom of Nelson's Monument looking down Princes Street. This is one of the major roads through the city centre, with the gardens and castle to the left and the majority of the shopping to the right as we look down the road from this angle. The tower with clock is part of the Balmoral Hotel and you can see the wheel behind.
