Heron wading on the Water of Leith

Heron wading on the Water of Leith

Yesterday was the second time I have seen a heron on the Water of Leith. I was walking from Edinburgh to Leith for a meal at The Kitchin. It was a great walk and the sun had finally shown up to light up my photographs. The above shot of the heron is my best attempt at taking a bird's photo, although it is a big bird that moves fast and is tricky to capture on camera. In the afternoon I ambled around Leith and then walked back to Edinburgh, where I took some much better photographs of some of the famous sites and interesting details of the city. These will be shown online in the next few weeks.
